Supporting pupils’ SEMH with Therapeutic Storywriting
Educational Therapist, Dr Trisha Waters explains how Therapeutic Storywriting Groups can support the social, emotional and mental health of pupils by working with the symbolic imagery in pupils’ own story writing.
During this session, a case study is used to illustrate the underlying theory and show how the approach helps pupils process difficult emotions. Trisha also summarises the evidence-base on the impact of the intervention on both emotional and academic literacy.
