The session covers the principles behind how and why appropriate effective assessment is important for pupils with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. There is discussion of ideas around lateral progress and small stepped developmental target setting.

James Waller covers how developmental frameworks could be used moving forward to support personalised learning in light of both the Rochford Review recommendations and the draft Ofsted Inspection Framework currently under consultation.
